Here in Brisbane, we’re used to celebrating Christmas in the sweltering heat, with fresh salads, a BBQ and lots of prawns. Some may have a traditional roast, but you have to admit, it’s slightly ridiculous having a hot feast when the weather is 35 degrees, sunny and very humid from morning to night. So what’s the solution to have the best of both worlds? Xmas in July of course!
The clever clique at the Riverside Centre precinct are celebrating Xmas in July this Friday with an epic feast and winter wonderland inspired entertainment for the whole family. Revel in the magic of Christmas and eat, drink and be merry as the precinct and it’s collective of bars and restaurants transforms for the evening to host a winter soiree unlike any other. Indulge in exclusive menus and festive dishes for the occasion, followed have a winter warming tipple and some tasty desserts. Whatever you choose, you don’t want to miss out come Friday!
We were lucky enough to join the hosts for a sneak peak a couple of weeks ago and I can assure you, you’re in for a treat! Think 8 course menus, slow roasted lamb shoulder, traditional turkey feasts, Christmas inspired cocktails, latin flavours with a festive twist, prime seafood and of course, some comforting desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Still not convinced you should spend your Friday night at Riverside? This ought to do it!
