Living-Silk Brisbane Fashion

A 62-year-old model, a new collection of fabulous frocks and a host of women set to celebrate a milestone in elegant style. Living Silk hosted the event yesterday for the second most important women at the wedding – the mothers of the bride and groom.

Living Silk, a dress boutique in Paddington, held a catwalk event at their store to showcase wedding day looks that are suitable for the occasion that do not comprise style.

The mother-daughter event showcased 10 complete looks made up of new collection pieces and classic style in the beautiful colour combinations of midnight blue and silver and coffee and ivory, as well as a hit of new season colours perfect for a summertime soiree. Think dusty pink, turquoise, aquamarine and amethyst.

The event saw Raia (62) take to the catwalk in Living Silk’s range of classic cuts, modest lengths and flattering shapes, with a stylish, yet comfortable focus.

And it was a great success, with women lapping up the inspiration and style advice from the ladies behind Living Silk.

But don’t be fooled, Living Silk is not just a one-stop shop for Gen X and Baby Boomer wedding-wear. There’s something special to be found in their doors for any age and occasion, whether it be a school formal, graduation ceremony, a ball or gala, awards night, christening, work function, baby shower, wedding, milestone birthday, the races… you name it, there’s something at Living Silk that’ll perfect.

Living Silk focus on the elegance and beauty of silk and bespoke care of a bygone era as each garment is individually handcrafted by skilled couturiers. The boutique also has a flourishing business relationship with their Cambodian colleagues whom they work with to help grow their livelihoods, their economy and their country through the high quality of silk and immaculate craftsmanship found in Cambodia.

With just a glimpse of the Living Silk website, it is clear that every customer speaks very highly of the local brand after just one visit. Customer service is unbeatable, style and size advice is spot on and their dedication to finding the right outfit for any occasion is appreciated beyond doubt.

Judging by the success of yesterday’s event, we can expect to see more of Living Silk and its growing collection in the new year, so keep an eye out! In the meantime, check out the Living Silk website or pop into the Paddington store and pick out your favourite frock or skirt and top combo!
