This morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast and chat with Zoie from Religion of Fashion and Robyn Taggart a recent QUT Fashion graduate. Normally I am a little anti anything that smells like a networking event but this was a fashion brunch with a difference. Set in the White Lotus Restaurant in the Melbourne Hotel , an exclusive set of fashion bloggers and lovers gathered around and enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast and a private showcase of fashion by Robyn Taggart. What we loved most about the event was its intimate nature.
Getting up close and personal and actually being able to ask the designer questions about her collection was a real treat!
Robyn recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Fashion) at QUT and her work was selected to be shown in the Mercedes-Benz Brisbane Fashion Festival in the Nando’s Australian Fashion Graduate Show. Robyn’s latest collection captured our attention straight away. The beautiful tailoring, the intricate panelling, the feminine lines…just gorgeous. We were struck by the high standard of quality and fashion forward nature of the collection. You can purchase yourself a little piece of the Robyn Taggart collection at both The Tribune and The Fleet Store.
More importantly, Religion of Fashion will be making these fashion brunches a regular occurrence and we have permanently reserved a seat! We just cannot wait to see who will be speaking at the next event and what lovely fashionista we’ll meet! And don’t worry – we have already put Brisbane Threads readers on the invite list so you will know all the details to the next event as soon as they break!
