The riverside restaurant was transformed into a New York-style loft space by event guru David Grant for the occasion, where over a million dollars worth of magnificent Australian south Sea pearl jewellery was on nestled among mirrored installations of Paspaley’s most recent campaign. A swanky cocktail party ensued as the brand staked its claim as the city’s newest luxury retailer.
Paspaley is an iconic Australian pearling dynasty with third generation Paspaley’s now at the helm, maintaining the brands classic characteristics with a modern touch.
Paspaley’s Executive Director Chris Paspaley and Creative Director Christine Salter said the beautiful pearls will always be the hero of each piece, however Paspaley will always develop new ways to wear pearl. In celebrating the new store they said Paspaley’s routes will always be in timeless jewellery that can withstand changing trends because of its classic elements and versatility. And that’s exactly what the new collection represents – classic styles but with a modern touch.
Touchstone is inspired by tropical places, organic lines and a desire to be wearable day and night, with the modern woman in mind. She can determine the final look wholeheartedly as each piece holds the ability to be subtly altered in length.
The collection juxtaposes the beautiful and dangerous essence of nature through soft pearls alongside inverted gemstones, reminding us of the wild tropical environment where Paspaley pearls are born. Classic beauty, tactile quality and effortless elegance, the collection is perfect for special occasions or a timeless everyday style.
We all love investment pieces right!?
The new store is located in Queens Plaza on Edward Street and is the 6th store in Australia and 9th in Paspaley’s global network. Us Brisbane babes get a little bit more, with the store displaying the brand’s new high-end retail design concept, complete with lots of light and round shapes to stir an emotional connection to the brand, and the pearls.
