With Christmas sneaking up on us far too quickly, the season of gift-giving is here, and if you’re like me, you’re not prepared in the slightest! But don’t panic, I’ve found a delightful solution to the ‘what do I get (insert name)’ dilemma – MOZI.
MOZI is a unique homewares and lifestyle brand inspired by owner-sisters Olivia and Camilla Tipler’s creative 80’s childhood full of adoring pets, adventures on the farm and travels far and wide.
Together they started MOZI in 2005 from the family’s garage, and today, the brand has 13 stores, a flourishing online business, over 300 independent stockists across Australia and New Zealand and is available nationally in Myer stores.
Their 13th store opened recently in the James Street shopping precinct in the Valley and, just like the other 12 stores, it is kitted out with all things MOZI to bring a touch of colourful quirkiness to the fashion hub. And although the shop is full to the brim with its most recent collections, it somehow manages to not feel cluttered and overwhelming despite having to do multiple laps of each display to see it all.
MOZI is easily a one-stop shop to have a lot of your Christmas gifts sorted, especially those for the hard-to-buy-for people like your mother/sister/daughter/grandmother-in-law (hallelujah!). There’s also a collection of fun, quirky and cute gifts that would make perfect secret Santa presents when your workplace christmas party of family festive celebration comes around.
There’s everything from pillows, umbrellas, clothes, accessories, soaps, candles, scarves and beach towels, to homewares, bags, purses, picnic rugs, beanbags and plant pots, wall mirrors, rugs, books, plates, gumboots and mugs.
Each MOZI collection is full of super cute products in bright colours to take you from body to bath, kitchen to garden, bedroom to outdoor entertaining as you transition into the summer months. I personally love the pastel Gelato collection, however my eye is also on the new Market Day collection and its kaleidoscope of watercolours adorning an array of kitchen utensils and gardening tools.
I know where I’ll be doing my (probably last-minute) Christmas shopping this year!
