Threadians, Spring has sprung!
We all know that means our friends down south are putting on a bit of a horse race, but while it’s a public holiday for them , for us it means office sweeps, fascinators, fashion and an excuse for a long lunch!
There are so very many events on in Brisbane this year it’s overwhelming and I encourage you to find your favourite but I’ve got a list below for a few of mine…
GIVING BACK
A Charity do is a nice excuse to spend a bit extra, you get a great event and the satisfaction of helping out the world in the process, good karma all around. Check out The Endeavour Foundation’s luncheon or  to Spring for the Hear and Say Luncheon if a bit of giving back is your thing.
PUNTERS BEST
Some of us can’t have cup day without actual horses and races, so for those of you I suggest heading over to Doomben Racecource where Brisbane Racing Club will be putting on the very best in equine fun, for a range of price tags.  In their own words, the Champagne will flow and the fashion stakes will be high! And of course if you do bet, do it with your head!
ON A BUDGET
We can’t always be quite as fancy as we’d like and thrifty’s sexy these days, check out some of the Doomben packages, general admission is only $27, or head to the Normanby or the Caxton Hotel for a Cup day that’s nice to your wallet!
PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS
Fashion parades, award winning lunches, some with both! Check out Emporium Hotel, Pony or Limes Hotel if  you want your Melbourne cup day to knock you off your well shod feet!
This list is by far not all that Brisbane has to offer this year so head on over to our events page for a few more!
