We are all here because of our love of fashion. Let’s use our numbers and this love to give back to those who can’t spend their Friday night sipping on a glass of champagne and enjoying a fabulous fashion parade.

Hope for Haiti: Fashion for a Cause will be held at Cloudland on the 12th of July. The night will begin with canapés and beverages with entertainment from up and coming Brisbane artist Tanielle Davies. You will then be treated to fashion shows from Dogstar, Ultra Suite, Vein, Subfusco, Drobe, Tom Gunn, George Wu & Paula Walden; hosted by the gorgeous Carolyn Donovan.

A message from the organisers:

We live in such a blessed and wonderful nation with everything at our disposal. We have our complaints about how our government runs our country, that we have to pay too much in our interest rates, that our supermarkets are ripping us off, etc we could make a huge list couldn’t we?!

But have you ever stopped to really think about how blessed we are, that we live in a nation not ruled by evil dictators, we get to believe what we want, we have food at our disposal. Yes we have had our share of problems, our natural disasters like Black Saturday in Victoria, these we will never forget, the lives that were lost. Yet, we are blessed that even a dark time like that we are able to turn around and support those that are in need.

When the earthquakes hit in Haiti early this year, I was hit with the reality of how fragile our world is and how a country that does not have the same blessings that we have can really be changed in a few short minutes. In a few minutes, hundreds of thousands of lives were either lost or completely changed forever. In this short space of time another reality hit me, I want to live a life that makes a difference in someone else’s life. Something stirred in my heart that I refuse to be part of a generation known for throwing their lives away with drugs, alcohol, hate, racism and more. Today I am writing to tell you that there are people in this generation just like me who want to make a difference, who want to be set apart and not take what we have in this wonderful nation for granted, but to use it for the benefit of others.

The earthquakes in Haiti have brought so much devastation to a small nation with families completely lost and infrastructure destroyed. It was through watching these images and stories on the news that impacted me and touched my heart. I want to do something more, I want to do something more than just give financial, I wanted to do something tangible. This is how ‘Hope for Haiti: Fashion for a cause’ was birthed.

Through your support we are aiming to raise $100,000 for Haiti.

It will be a fun night filled with the highest level of entertainment, fashion with a twist and much more. It will be a chance to network, have fun & more importantly help Haiti. Through this money we will be able to provide a country with so little hope at the moment, a chance to rebuild their lives and give them that hope back. My heart is to show you that young people can make a difference, but more than that, it’s time for us to rise up & make a difference in our world and not just sit back and do nothing.

We are so blessed here in Australia; let’s use that for the benefits of others!

Hope for Haiti, is a night about HOPE, a night to change thousands of lives and bring HOPE back to this nation.
