The countdown has begun until that haunted night of nights where leaving the house dripping in blood, wearing torn clothes and over-done make-up is not only acceptable, but celebrated! It’s Halloween!

Traditionally an American holiday, Brisbane party-goers are increasingly catching on to the trend in the name of dressing up and having a good time! If you are as excited as us and planning early here are some party venues and costume tips to get your tail wagging!

Where to party…

THE ANNUAL HAUNTED HOTEL – LIMES HOTEL

Limes Hotel & Rooftop Bar will transform into Brisbane’s infamous Haunted Hotel for their annual Halloween party. Watch the cobwebs as you pass through reception, sip a concoction from a cocktail cauldron and throw back venomous shots served by bar keeps back from the dead. Don a costume and join Limes for a spooky Saturday Night on the Rooftop. It’s Limes Hotel’s fifth Halloween Party and boy have they learnt some devilish trickery to make your Halloween a night you won’t forget.

Where: Limes Hotel, 142 Constance Street, Fortitude Valley

When: Saturday November 2, from 5pm

Tickets: Limited tickets on the door or pre-purchase here.

DEPO’S HALLOWEEN PARTY

Search the back streets of West End and find a black-tiled cave hidden down Horan Street, filled with mysterious trinkets and trappings from unknown worlds. Party with the devil’s DJs or find your future with a fortune telling. Be sure to dress up in your Halloween-finest or be turned away by the gatekeeper. There are prizes for best dressed as well as a lucky door prize.

Where: Depo, 16 Horan Street, West End

When: Thursday October 31, from 7pm

Tickets: $30 pp includes ghoulish cocktails and creepy bites. Call 07 3846 6537 or email [email protected].
