Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women in Australia, with 1 in 9 expected to be diagnosed by the age of 85. Although the incidence of breast cancer is increasing and over 2600 Australian women will die from the disease in a single year, the good news is advancements in research mean survival rates are also on the rise.
We heard about the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer program and their good work and just had to share it with you.
You’ve probably heard of the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia (NBCF) and all things pink. The same people manage FTBC too. NBCF is the nation’s leading community funded organisation. It aims to help promote and support research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Since then NBCF has funded projects totaling more than $67 million. Ongoing support is crucial to their success. That’s why we need you.
You can do your part to assist in raising funds for breast cancer research simply by thinking pink or supporting the “fashion targets breast cancer” products.
