Welcome back for day five of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, I hope you’re all getting prepped for a glorious week of trends, runways and events! Thursday the 29th will bring you two wonderful runway shows punctuated by the pre and post show hospitality brought to you by The Fashion Bar and, for the likes of you Gold Reserve holders, Epicure VIP Runway Lounge.

If you’re thinking of visiting either of these areas let me tantalise your taste buds for a moment; you’ll be sipping the finest of Azahara sparkling wines from the Deakin Estate, Ciroc Vodka and nibbling the delights of Epicure catering, a catering company after my own heart who believe that good food is an integral part of the good life.  Now if that’s not enough to get you down to King George Square from 5pm daily I don’t know what is!

Probably the fashion right? Well let me give you the run down on the runway!

Thursday night delights begin with the first of the group shows at 6.30pm in the Auditorium, Brisbane City Hall, featuring international favourite Akira, southern stars Lee Mathews and Ginger & Smart, and rounding off the group are two Brisbane darlings Gail Sorronda and Easton Pearson.

Easton Pearson will show two collections tonight, showcasing just how accessible and versatile these two talented ladies are!

A quick break for you to note down your favourites, Google store opening times and enjoy the Fashion Festival vibe with your fellow fashionistas, but when that clock tolls 8 it’s time for the second group show (8pm in the Auditorium).  For those of you picking and choosing your events both of the shows tonight are $52 and tickets are still available from QTIX of the MBFF website.

The second group show this evening will feature designs from our friends in the south Urbbana, Gold Coast talent Lisa Brown, and collections from our Brisbane best; EP by Easton Pearson, Alexis Dawn, Wil Valor, George Wu, and closing the show is Paul Hunt, celebrating his label’s 10th anniversary.

Of course this is a Brisbane festival so Mercedes Benz wants to show you the very best Brisbane has to give but we can’t forget about the rest of the country and the MBFF is the best place to see the crème de la crème! And don’t forget – you can shop all these collections right here in Brisbane in our fabulous boutiques and department stores or online from the designers themselves.

Stay tuned for day six, and our last, overview of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival event, from here we will feature six of the wonderful Brisbane designers you will be seeing on the catwalks!
