If you like makeup and love a bargain, you’ve come to the right place.

We teamed up with Catch Of The Day to bring you 6 budget beauty looks that you can rock on a budget, day and night. Whether it is a self-imposed budget to top up your savings account or a goal-driven savings plan (European summer or white wedding anyone?), you can achieve on-trend beauty looks for a fraction of the price if you’re smart about where you spend your money. That doesn’t mean compromising quality for a bargain, it means waiting for an amazing deal and pouncing on it. That’s where Catch of the Day comes in.

Catch of the Day (COTD) is an online shopping destination that sells the best brands at discounted prices for one-day sales. So when they got in touch last month, we jumped at the chance to get on board the COTD train, grab a bargain and set ourselves a challenge. We had $75 to spend on anything we liked and of course I was immediately drawn to the beauty page that was begging me to click through and browse its colours, brands and irresistible prices. “Imagine how many budget beauty looks I could make with these new products,” I pondered. And here we are.

The challenge: how many budget beauty looks can we create using only the products I purchased on COTD, for a total value of $75. The answer: 6!

So what do you think… mission accomplished? To create these 6 looks we only used products purchased from Catch of The Day, coming to a total of $75 (plus postage). The L’Oreal Revitalift Make-up Removing Milk was included in the $75 and we used it with a cotton pad to remove makeup and rehydrate and moisturise the skin between looks. If that’s not budget beauty, then I don’t know what is?!

Before Catch of the Day walked into my life my beauty haul was seriously lacking. I found myself using the same products in the same way every day (and night). But now I know how easy and cheap it can be to add some new products into the mix, it is safe to say I’ll be experimenting a lot more now.

What was your favourite look? Do you want to see more beauty tips and tricks on Brisbane Threads? Tell us in the comments below and we will make it happen!

Thanks to Catch of the Day for gifting us these products and a huge hi-five to Liz Cook Makeup Artistry for creating these fab looks and for her expert tips (you can contact Liz on 0437 722 009 for professional makeup artistry for any occasion).
