It’s official: ‘Fashion Season’ is fast approaching in Brisbane, with the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival just a hop, skip and runway stride away. But for those who simply can’t wait to slip on their stilettos and immerse themselves in the fabulous world of style and glamour we have the event for you.

Come 31 May, ‘One Night for Youngcare’ will host an impressive collection of Australia’s premier designers and retailers. With collections from Canturi, Easton Pearson, Lisa Ho, Akira Isogawa, Chelsea de Luca and Rebecca Manning joining Wil Valor Menswear, The Cloakroom, maxi & bruce and husband and wife design duo Samantha and Mitchell Ogilvie on the runway, One Night for Youngcare is already being touted as the fashion event of the year.

Billed as the inaugural signature fashion-for-a-cause event, One Night for Youngcare is hosted by the talented team of Alesia De Luca and Liz Golding, and will be MC’d by – Cricket legend and Channel Nine commentator, Ian Healy.

With the start of fashion season in Brisbane comes the opportunity to spot some fashionable Brisbane couples. Always looking stylish and on top of the latest trends, some names that come to mind include Jewellery Queen Chelsea de Luca and husband Paul Wilson, couture designer George Wu and his partner Stuart Robertson, designer Gail Sorronda and husband Atlas Harwood, Channel Nine Newsreader Melissa Downes and husband DJ Wendt, design-duo Samantha and Mitchell Ogilvie, Channel Ten Newsreader Georgina Lewis and husband Paul O’Brien, media personality Emily Jade O’Keefe and architect husband Gerard Murtagh and of course, One Night for Youngcare organiser Alesia De Luca and her husband and Youngcare Board Member Nic.

Youngcare’s Kathy Packenas said fashionable couples aside, the high level of support for the event and Youngcare’s cause from the fashion community is nothing short of amazing.

“Aged care is no place for a young person and everyone that is supporting One Night for Youngcare is demonstrating they agree that this is an unacceptable reality,” Kathy said.

“We are overwhelmed with the generosity of those who are involved and we are really looking forward to an unbelievable night. I’d recommend purchasing your tickets as they are selling fast!”

One Night for Youngcare will be held at Bacchus South Bank on 31 May from 7pm with 100 percent of ticket sales going to Youngcare. Priced at $195pp, tickets are strictly limited and are available for purchase at www.onenightforyoungcare.com.
