De Leon Cosmetics (a Brisbane based Indie makeup company) certainly produces wonderful products. In particular, mineral loose eyeshadow powders.
Highly pigmented, natural, handmade, long lasting with a lovely shimmer. Apply the eyeshadows alone to achieve a wonderful shimmer. Apply over the primer and they absolutely pop.
Plus, they are created by someone who is absolutely interested in the process. From researching, developing and coming up with hilarious names, Gladys de Leon does Brisbane proud.
So, to give you a little example of the wonderful quality that Gladys is responsible for producing, I have swatched three of the eyeshadow colours for your viewing pleasure.
Loopy Leopard: A shimmery, soft, orange. Pigmented, but not so bright that your eyes appear jaundiced and yellow.
Stuffed Cricket: Stuffed Cricket is described as a “satin finish green with gold overtones”. The gold softens the green, instead providing a colour which sparkles and pops in different lights. Perfect for the element of surprise.
Indecent Exposure: the absolute perfect nude. It contains just enough shimmer to awaken the eyes, without looking like a glitter ball at work. It also blends in seamlessly to provide the perfect base for any more intricate eye that you may wish to produce.
Gladys runs her business out of North Brisbane, but it is easiest to find her here.
