With 2014’s Australian Fashion Week (April 06-10) slowing seeping into the history pages, we decided now was the perfect time to delve into the fashion trends we can expect to see on next year’s shelves.

In short – style, seduction and a rainbow of colour!

Bold and beautiful

First up, the stunning boldness of Leroy Nguyen caught our attention.

Want an outfit that uses colour like you’ve never seen before and captivates all your senses with its ‘loud and proud’ ethos? This is just the ticket.

Exclusive prints and bold colours were prominent at the fashion festival – prepare your wardrobes for colour!

Timeless classic

Next, the sensational Christopher Esber. Elegant and timeless, this is certainly a style we can’t get enough of.

There’s a splash of colour round the neck and a long and striking profile that accentuates all the right parts.

Perfect for sprucing up your corporate look and one that will take you from office to after-work-drinks, effortlessly!

Sexy temptress

Last, but no means least, our choice pick has to be Alex Perry’s seductive styling. Perry’s twist on the LBD certainly caught our attention, and is sure to catch the eye of all you pass by! The sporty-take on a traditional lace dress is genius and makes for a worthy investment piece.

It’s perfect for a night out (whatever the occasion) and there are plenty of ways to mix it up with accessories so you’re not left rocking the same old look each time you step out to paint the town red.

Getting the look…

Now that you’ve had a taste for next year’s fashion, the next step is to get the look yourself. There’s no doubt the runways have bigger budgets than most of us but there are plenty of ways to make your wallet work for you.

Look for cheaper items which follow the same design principles and give yourself a fashion budget to update your wardrobe before restricting clothes spending for the following months.

You can always put your purchases on the plastic to help spread the cost out over the month. AMEX AU are just one firm who provide a range of personal and business credit cards and considering that a recent report from financial comparison site, finder.com.au found that 20% of Aussies have a secret credit card, it could be an option worth considering for more reasons than one!

Click here for information on AMEX’s credit cards before taking a look at the official 2014 Australian Fashion Week website (http://mbfashionweek.com/) for more style inspiration straight from the catwalks.
