finders keepers

1. Eat Street MarketsGoogle Map

The new kids on the block but so friggin’ awesome! I can’t get enough of the crepes and live tunes! Check out Teagan’s foodies guide to the Eat Street Markets for the full story!

2. Young Designers MarketsGoogle Map
The place where emerging talent meets. The first Sunday of every month sees young hopefuls descend on South Bank Plaza to showcase their latest creations. An excellent market for one-off pieces and to snap up a bargain before they are famous!

3. The Collective MarketsGoogle Map
South Bank’s lifestyle markets with the mantra, find things you love. And you do!

4. Creative MarketsGoogle Map
Located in Springwood, the Creative Markets are the best for everything handmade!

5. Boggo Road Gaol MarketsGoogle Map
I am in love with the setting of the Boggo Road Gaol. Shopping for the week’s groceries and soaking up the local history.

6. Kelvin Grove Village MarketsGoogle Map
These ones have actually topped my list of favourite markets… I love the live music, the iced tea, the okonomiyaki and fresh produce. It is a deceptively big market spanning two streets in the heart of Kelvin Grove Village.

7. Jan Powers Farmers MarketsGoogle Map
Wednesday’s in Brisbane CBD come alive with the Jan Powers Farmers Market. It is a fantastic escape from the concrete jungle. My favourite stalls are the Noosa Chocolate Factory for a sneaky brownie and The Bagel Boys for a B.L.A.T!

8. Chandler MarketsGoogle Map
A local gem where wardrobes of many a fashionista have been unloaded and sold at a steal!

9. West End Twilight MarketsGoogle Map
A market under the stars…. the smell of wood fired pizza in the air… a cool Summer breeze and friendly locals. I wish it was on now!

10. Boundary Street MarketsGoogle Map
A brand, brand newbie! The Boundary Street Market has certainly rocketed quickly since their inception in November 2013. My favourite stall is the SWOP Clothing Exchange – they buy your unwanted clothes and resell, kind to the earth and wallet!

11. Eagle Farm MarketsGoogle Map
A little more ‘upscale’ of all the markets but the produce sure is worth it! Try the ribs, crepes, and potato hash… un-bel-ievable!

12. Suitcase RummageGoogle Map
Lug your wares, whatever fits inside a suitcase and sell, sell, sell! The community spirit and creativity of the stallholders never ceases to amaze me at these events!

13. The Valley MarketsGoogle Map
An institution.

14. Finders Keepers MarketsGoogle Map
Held over a whole weekend twice per year the Finders Keepers Markets are worth the wait. The best the city has to offer in design, craft and other creative wonder from local artisans.

Set in the Rumpus Room at West End, yep you can shop and enjoy a cider… need I go on?
